Fire, Friends and Fun
We were at the beach last night for a cookout/bonfire last night with our growth group from church. It was a beautiful night; the waves were amazing and the sunset was glorius. We cooked hot dogs and burgers on portable grills and someone tossed a tablecloth over a flatish rock that became our buffet table. Then, one couple brought their firebowl from home (a small bowl-shaped thing on legs) and built a lovely fire and we all pulled our chairs close to keep warm once the sun went down. We laughed and shared and ate s'amores (my dad used to call that "scout slop" because the Girl Scouts always had it) and just enjoyed California living at its best.
